I could probably go find some background on St. Valentine… I did it one year and as I recall, it was eye-opening… but I’m too lazy about this holiday to bother.  Seems to me it’s mostly a Hallmark holiday.  I am a Scrooge about Valentine’s Day.  It helps that my wife’s birthday is around this time, so there is already much celebrating and gift-giving.  It’s my impression that my lovely wife also finds Valentine’s Day to be a shrug.  I’m sure, now that I’m publishing this, that I will hear about that, one way or the other.
